Raja Abdur Razzaq of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is at the second place by securing 7,676 votes.
Razzaq announced that he will not accept election results due to alleged rigging by the PPP.
Earlier the army was called in for the Mirpur LA-6 constituency re-polls after clashes between workers of PPP and PML-N were reported from Mithoon polling station.
Polling in the constituency began today, with around 29,000 voters expected to vote at 52 polling station. Polling had been postponed on June 26 as a result of violence and clashes between political parties on the day of the polls.
A clash had earlier been reported between PPP and PML-N workers at Mithoon polling station. Workers of the two parties had also clashed with police.
Independent candidate, Ali Shah Soni and Raja Abdur Razzaq of the PML-N are the major candidates in the constituency.
Earlier, more than 10,000 ballot papers were seized from a car in Mirpur district, ahead of today’s voting.
