LAHORE: Former Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the current government was making policies on the directives of the IMF and this would not only ruin the economy of the country but also its politics, Geo News reported.
Addressing a seminar arranged by the Mir Khalil Ur Rehman Society he said that while making policies the government was not consulting stakeholders and that is why agriculture, industry and the economy of the country was deteriorating.
He added problems could still be solved by joint discussions and decisions but the government was not serious about this issue. Quereshi said that adding General Sales Tax on fertilizer would increase its rate.
